Bud,
Barry and I must have posted at exactly the same time and it took his. I was saying that I had decided on tying up some Cypert's Minnows and with your info (now backed up by Barry) I'd go with some in chart and some in white for this trip. I'm gonna tie some with heavy dumbell eyes to get down in the water collum if needed.

Barry,
The hitting of VW Busses is what I was trying to get across to Bassackwards a few posts back. It's been a while since I got into a wad of feeding whites. I'm gettin' antsy already ...

I'll be getting there on Friday afternoon. This is going to be good!

What are the food options around Indian Lodge?

Hey Guys
I talked to Tim at the Indian Lodge this morning and he said the fishing has been good the last couple of days. This could end up being a good outing fish wise. I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of y'all and being able to put a face to a name.
Y'all drive safe and have a good trip.

Bud
Gene (pearow) might be interested in a JET if one comes up, but I've pretty much got all of them that I need. If mine somehow get listed on e-Bay, I guess I'll have to sell them. (LOL)

Guys, I made it back in one piece. It sure was fun down there this weekend even though the Nolan wasn't too kind. The visiting and food made up for it. I'll try to get some of these pics posted before too long.

Beauglass,
Nice to meet you, it's great to put a face with a name. BTW a few of us went to Rock Creek and it was a little slow to start, but by 1:00 Jeff and I were killing 'em. Both of us caught +25 fish before we had to leave at 2 pm. All of them big 12" -15" fish.

Les,
It was nice to meet you as well as everyone else. I really think we were about a week early for the Nolan. There's nothing quite like a full blown sand bass run; is there?

Damn ... sorry I missed you guys!

I didn't get out of Atlanta until Saturday.

Anytime anyone wants to try and get together again ... let me know. I guess there's always Glassic '09!

Great photos beauglass and thanks for giving us the inside look. It is always good to put faces to screen names.

It looks like bassackwards brought his "A" game on this trip. FISH FRY TIME!

David,

You missed a good one. You were asked about quite often. Was the weather a factor?

Sounds like you guys had a great time. Love the pictures too ... now I can attach faces to names!

No, the weather wasn't a factor - wish it was it would have been easier to tolerate. I was on a trip that went long and I had to stay over in ATL an extra day. All I wanted to do was get back home to go fishing ... but was stuck!

I hear the whites are starting to move up the Lampasas River out of Stillhouse Hollow Lake ... gotta get the yak out and see what I can find ...

David

Hey Guys
I too had a great time. Like Dane said, the fishing was a little off, but the people that attended made up for it. I was able to put some faces to names that I knew from the Board. The food was great, and there was plenty of it. We had 3 varieties of Trout (Rainbows, Browns and Brookies) that was thoughtfully provided and cooked by Russel. He also cooked up some of his famous "Dr. Pepper Onion Rings". We also dined on smoked ribs, Potato Salad and Cold Slaw, so no one went hungry. Word has it that there might have even been some Alcohol in the area.
There were plenty of different rods to try out and reels to handle, as it seemed most everyone brought a few extra for others to cast. The swap meet went very well. I saw a lot of smiling faces (both buyers and sellers) as the money was being exchanged. At one point Bud looked like a Camel trader, with a lot of the guys crowding around to see what he was going to pull out of his Truck next. (LOL)
Like I said earlier, the fishing was off some, but IMO, spending time with old friends and meeting new ones more than made up for that. It was a good weekend. IMO, those that were unable to attend missed a good time!
I'll try to upload a few photos when I get time to get them out of the Camera.

It was a wonderful get together; wish we had got a group photo so we could identify everyone by their "handle" on this site. We were 7-10 days early for the white bass, but the fellowship wasn't dampened in the least. Hope everyone who was there will speak up so we'll have a list-p-
