Bud,
How is it for wading (especially in the spring)?
It looks really nice. I think I'll take a drive down next week on my days off and scope it out.
Thanks for the info.

Here's a link to the park information and rules.

Unwadable ... deep water. Like I said ... 15 minutes from the Nolan for all you combat fishing devotees ... BUT ... if you all travel in big enough groups ... you can successfully displace other groups ...

Personally, I have no dog in this hunt ... I will continue to fish how and where I always do ... I just think it's a nice spot and meets the need of the more "sensitive" campers.

Oh, BTW we have to keep Cody on a leash no longer than six feet and under control at all times.
Sounds like a good job for JB!

Actually, Cody was not nearly as loud as all the whining going on.

I'm thinking that you missed that because you were too busy whining about Cody! (LMAO)

If there's enough people that are dissatisfied with Jack's, then maybe we ought to give Hamm Creek Park a whirl. I've done well fishing there in the past, but was never comfortable with the security of an unattended vehicle. However, it seems that's no longer a concern.
If I remember correctly, as Bud stated, there isn't much wadable water in the river, but the Creek can be waded.

Hmmm ... the creek doesn't look like much more than a trickle ... guess you could wade around in it if you wanted to though ...

I never whined about Cody. I did, on the other hand ask him about 600 times "where's Gene?".
And, by the way "where is Gene?"! Image

This looks like a good option for sure. It would be yakable and is closer to the Nolan if the fish were not biting there on the Brazos.
I read several good reports on TFF about the spring sandbass run there by it as well.

Thanks Raleigh. This might just come together. I have March 26-28 set for vacation. Will those dates work for everyone? Image

Unless something catastrophic comes up, that should work for me.

So, are we firm on the dates Jerry listed (March 26-28)? I need to get my leave forecast turned in at work.

Larry,
I hope so. I've already been approved for those dates.
