This was built for the Catskill rodmaker's challenge in September " A two for two" a 2wt that weighs less than two ounces. This one weighs in at 1.9oz and is a pretty limber 6'10 2wt. I also took pictures of the ferrule process for an upcoming Power Fibers article.

Thanks for looking Bob

Just beautiful. That ferrule is an excellent piece of craftsmanship, and well-recognized.

You are very talented and humble. I admire your creativity and your balance of learning from the past and blazing your own trail. Hope to cast that rod. I bet it is super sweet and will be very popular at the gathering!

The fiberglass is really elegant and matches the bamboo perfectly.

Incredible work, Bob. I would bet that the effect on the feel and flex profile of the rod is interesting. I sure do love your 8’1” 5wt glass rod....it’s a fantastic all-around 5wt.

thanks for all the kind words guys! I took it to a small creek 5 minutes from the house today. I found a dozen native Brookies to play, a 8" fish bends the rod in half.
