Cane and Silk
Rocky Stream Series
7' 3/4wt 3-piece
Ice glass with Chestnut wraps with Lemon tipping

Having already owned two C&S glass Dark Honey rods one each in both Standard and Eminence build, I am admittedly a fan of Mikes work. But I for one have been very hesitant when it comes to the clear/white/ice glass rods fad. Maybe it stems form my dislike for the early Wonderrods? Nevertheless, I was a bit skeptical. However, the quality of build, smooth into-the-grip loading has won me over. The tip tracks straight, with no bounce on the end of your casting stroke that I truly dislike on many overly-soft glass rods. I think the ICE will grow on me.

Ralph,
you and Alan continue to test my resolve to not add another rod to my warehouse of rods.
repeat after me- I do not need another rod , I do not need another rod .......................
i could not respond to your blog post but i hope this rod is as nice as your others. He builds a beautiful rod. May this one bring you many many happy hours on the water.
Tight lines and Merry Christmas and a a great New Year to you.

Skunked, he does have a way of doing that. The quality-2-cost is hard to pass up. I'm already looking at a new bass rod. LOL

I had one of his ICE rods, nice rod with one exception, where the ferrules were glued into the rod was not done well with regard to aesthetics, the glue ran down in the rod, very visible, made it look cheap, ended up selling it.

that's a pretty blank. we have to be careful about keeping our WondeRod dislike to ourselves.
A close-up of the wraps to show the lemon tipping would be nice.

It's cool as ICE.
BTW... I also like how the vintage white Wonder Rods look.
