Wanted to show off some pictures of a build I just completed. I've decided to label my rods under the name Bluegill Rodworks, maybe someday they'll be able to confuse some collectors.

It's a Proof Havana blank with an Atlas downlocking reel seat and Snake Brand guides, wrapped with silk thread. Really happy with how it's turned out.

Nothing to fancy, but that's the way I like them.

Nice looking , unpretentious fly rod . Nice work ! Never heard of Proof Havana ( sounds like a brand of rum ) . Are they Canadian blanks ?

I do like rum, but the name actually comes from the shade of brown. Tom does an amazing job stripping and painting blanks. You can find the blank here:
