Yamame “The Pure” 7’ 3/4wt 4pcs

Here the last proto of my new full parabolic 7’ 3/4wt. This is a smaller version of the 5wt which I introduced last spring. The blank is rolled by Mike McFarland and again he did a great job. In production the rod is coming in a translucent tabacco colour and available beginning of 2018.

The Original Snake Brand snake guides and the chrome stripping guide and blank is wrapped with Kimono silk in the color chopstick and with some black tipping. Cork grip is made of flor grade cork, hardware is polished aluminium and the butt is made of PEI.
I got the idea to built this rod after I saw the picture of Jay (ibookje) his beautiful R.L.Winston “Leetle Feller”

The reel is from Ids Schukken, who made it special for me, it is titanium with a PEI spool.

I hope you like it.

Nico

I like how it looks. Very nice. Elegant. I'm curious to hear how the butt/end cap was assembled. It looks like it could be a fish eye.

Great looking grip/reel seat. So when production is in full swing the color is changing to tobacco? If so, love that color!

Hi Scud dog, a bit late with the reply but here some pics how I manage it.

I turn a aluminium ring and after polishing the ring I gluing him with epoxy on the PEI butt.

without the ring you will not get the effect.
