There's a special place in my heart for Graywolf Steffens... they always look perfect, unique and classic. Yet they are always built for one thing only: fishing. Have 4/5, 5/6, 6/7 and 7/8wt Graywolf Steffens and would not mind to add a few more... Thank you Shane!

Fullflex: we here in the States call your collection simply awesome. Well done, and to have a series built by a master is indeed rod heaven .My question is the 5/6 wght a 8'3" or 8'6" and would you view it as a heavier trout rod? Again great work Shane, you nailed the esthetics on every Steffen, actually on any blank you use!

Hi JasTrout, in my book the 8'6" 5/6wt Steffen is a great all day dry fly and nymph rod, however for streamers and bigger trout, especially at night, I prefer 8'6" 6/7wt Steffen. It has more backbone and power to fight with trout over 20". The 8'6" 7/8wt Graywolf-Steffen is my workhorse for Atlantic Salmon, have fished it a lot in Russia Kola Peninsula. Think the biggest salmon with it was 18lbs... it's a great rod with lot of fighting power in the butt. For 5/6wt I use a 6wt line, for 6/7 a 7wt but that's just a matter of taste. Like them better with a bit heavier line. Thinking to add a Graywolf Steffen 8'3" 5/6 to the herd soon :)

The attention to detail that you put into your rods is amazing.
