Mountain Brook "River" 4pc 5wt, came out to 8' 1". Blank color reminded me of what I imagine Steffens look like from pics (never seen one--maybe some day) so I went with a theme I've seen that I really liked. Copper with brown accents. RL blued/walnut seat. All dark nickel hardware.

Wow! Nice job! I love the color choices. How is the action of that rod?

Thanks. Seems like a pretty moderate taper but I just finished it yesterday so I haven't cast it yet.

Randy,
You finished it yesterday and you haven't cast it yet. What is wrong with you? :P By the way, if you can join us next spring in the Hill Country, you can try out my Steffen, and maybe Les will have one to try out also.

Larry I wonder myself sometimes. Like, why do I keep buying blanks?

I'd love to try that Steffen--didn't get a chance when you were down for the get-together. Or I may just build one by then. I've got a black Ijuin Parabolic 3wt blank to busy me for now. First higher end blank.
