Ahhh the Yellow glass. To me these mustard yellow blanks along with Steffen blanks are the original glass rods, when I started focusing on fiberglass rods - back when Cameron first contacted me and before the Epic, Echo (glass), and all the Chinese blanks came along the options for fiberglass blanks was pretty slim. I built allot of rods on these blanks, and they don't disappoint. When the yellow E glass material Mike had ran out I started a relationship with CTS, can you believe the Quartz blanks where about $65usd then? Now they are pushing $300!

I am very happy that Mike has this material back in his shop after so many years and these blanks still feel great and I am positive that, still to this day they won't disappoint!

One I recently finished up - 8'6" 5wt 4 piece

Gorgeous! And it really is incredible just how much the market has changed in a few short years. And despite that, the basic requirements of fishing and rod design hasn't changed much and so these classic tapers are still every bit as desirable.

I like the look of that! Plus glass in the 865 configuration, my favorite.
