Finished this one with a requested all cork grip, and slide bands. The grip idea came from an old Phillipson fly fox I have, just a variation of that style. Its really light in hand, and adds a different option. The ability to position the reel closer to the blank or to the butt helps balance a variety of reels. My medalist feels better all the way back, cfo a little farther up. ;)

This is the old fly fox , this build was a variation with a mortise , just something a little different Turning one now like this with pocket hardware
