This is a new proto of The Pure 7' 3/4wt and fully parabolic what hopefully will be ready for production end of the year.

I am a huge fan of the craftsmanship of PaulH Young and Bob Summers. On my proto I made a modern version of the rod they build in the fifty's and sixties .

The butt off the grip is made of birds eye Maple with a aluminium ring in it.

I tried to match the butt and the Kimono silk wraps (colour chopsticks) in the same colour of the cork grip and some olive green tipping as the Yamame signature.
Stripping guide is from Mildrum and the guides from Snake brand Original. Grip and reel seat are made from flor grade cork. All hardware, wood and cork are turned in house.

Hope you like it.
Nico

I like the details of the rod. What are you using for the double ring setup?

Hi Retiredfisher,
I used aluminium for the rings, after turning it on my lathe I polished theme. It is very light and strong.
