I recently did some rod photos for Mike upcoming website redesign and in trade I received several of his blanks. I've built up and fished a couple of them so far. Here's the 8'8" 6wt in his Perpetual series. I used Mike own reel seat hardware and insert and wrapped the snake brand guides in silk. Kept it real simple without any inlays or tipping just because this blank looks so good on it's own.

A very handsome rod. Do you know if intends to sell that particular rod as a blank?

Nice
I had Mike make me a blank in his black S glass. I asked for him to duplicate the Seele
8' 8" 6wt fast glass they offered before going out of business but in a two piece.
It's still siting in corner waiting on funds to buy the hardware to finish it.
Said he was so happy with the results he was going to offer it in his new line up.

That blank color is fantastic! Hoping there's a bunch of these to cast at the Coulee Clave.

Somehow I missed this when it was first posted. Gorgeous work! Very similar to the 884 that you sold me, aside from the color.

Are you ever going to start signing your work? :)

Ha! Yeah well I spent some time practicing my calligraphy and even signed a couple rods recently. Turned out pretty well but I got to admit I still prefer them plain Jane.
