This is a little Boo build for a friend, I will be delivering it to him to at McFarland's Coburn gathering today. This is a little 6' 4wt and very para. He wanted a ventilated grip and you can feel the cork flex easy in your hand.

thanks for looking
Bob

No bamboo ferrule? I'm almost disappointed.
(Just kidding! Beautiful rod!)

I know this is not a rod for everyone but for me its one I have been wanting for a few years.
About a month ago I called Bob and said I am ready for you to build my rod, when can you start ?
To my surprise he said the blanks done. What grip do you want? and what color thread?
I was a bit worried and said what length is it ? hardware did you use? He answerd all my questions and said "Hey if its not what you want thats ok I can build you another "
It was exactly what I wanted,
I threw him a curve ball and asked him to do a ventilated grip. next day he sends a pic. I said perfect but he didnt like it and made a new one the next day.
This is the final result and I am amazed !
Yes, it casts as good as it looks........

Thanks Mike, The biggest compliment I could of has was even with the 50 plus rods we cast this weekend every time I turned around you had this rod in your hand either looking at it or casting it :)

Thanks
Bob

Great work Bob! This is such a nice rod both aesthetically and performance wise. It was really cool to see how excited Mike was to receive it. I definitely need a hallowell bamboo rod.
