Latest Bamboo off the bench, This is a 6'6 3/4wt. I went with a bamboo ferrule on this one but tried something different. I treated it like a step down ferrule and there is an .015" drop across the ferrule. Wraps look black indoors but are a deep army green.

Thanks for looking
Bob

Bob-
Looks great - can't wait to cast it. Just glued up the 6'9" 3 pc. 4 wt. I've been working on. It'd be fun to pull out a bunch of our brookie rods to cast at the same time.
Beautiful work as always.
- Steve

Gorgeous build, as always, Bob. Very neat ferrule. Hope to cast that one someday.

Bamboo ferrule? That is amazing as is the rest of the rod. I've been lucky enough to cast some of Bobs rods.

Beautiful job Bob. That ferrule of yours is intriguing. Now it's on my list to try sometime.

Was I the only guy doing the Valentine thing , you others looking at another beautiful rod by our boy Bob? Seriously, being the very proud owner of three of his builds, two on a Riffle and Lemon Drop blanks and the most recent his own taper, they are clean, asethetically with perfect balance of every components. This bamboo rod is beautiful.

Very nice Bob! I'm curious how far in the male ferrule goes into the female part? Must've been some fun engineering that went into this one. I hope next time I see you you'll have this to cast?

Chris, the male slide inserts 1 1/8. The last one of these types of ferrules I did I had the slide insert 1 1/2 but it was a longer heaver rod.

Gorgeous. I really like the overall balance of the rod. There's a lot to learn from seeing your work.

Bob, great looking rod. I really like how you are always pushing yourself to learn and try out ideas that would intimidate most of us dreamers. I'm sure the taper is well conceived too. I am looking forward to a chance to air some line with this one and your new small water glass taper you have teased us with.
