Hey all - I found in my closet a blank made by James Green I picked up in 2013. Each section measures 39 1/2 inches in length. The butt section has the long internal fiberglass section which I believe was made that way as a Switch rod.

Is the length at a total of 9.875 feet supposed to make up a 10ft rod ? I never did pick up a seat for this rod and in the meantime have found 3 other full Switch rods... so I plan to sell this one... I just want to be 100% sure to get the lingo right.

The blank is that Mustard color that he was using at the time. Thanks kindly for any help - Brian

Have you tried to get a hold of James, he was very helpful when I built out one of his blanks.

Think I read a post on here from Marty Romeo that James sometimes cuts the blank and supplies a stent for blanks with big butt diameters to be able to install any reel seat.

I believe dmiller328 is correct. I also wouldn't hesitate to contact Marty as he's a great guy to deal with.

After thinking it over I doubt that blank is meant to make a 10 ft rod because you will lose at least 3 inches when you connect the pieces together. Unless you extend the butt section or maybe a removable grip to go from one to two hands.
