Has anyone used micarta to build a reel seat? Building out a white fiberglass blank and was looking for something like a white micarta / ivory looking reel seat. Haven't been able to find anything thru a web search on the subject that's been informative.

I guess I could also use a blond type of wood but....

Ah......getting closer.... wish they offered the aluminum in a polished silver color. Will look more into this.

Vlad/musicar has made and used micarta for spacers. You may want to check his blog.

If that insert was solid it would look like a piece of post-ban ivory.
