Car Top Rod Holder

I just finished this project to ease the transport of fly rods between fishing spots. It holds 6 fly rods up to 9.5 feet long with reels attached. I wanted it to look like the fly rod cases I make. I put one of my cases in the second picture for comparison. 4 months of work...glad it's done!

That big, fancy carrier and it is holding an old glass rod with a feather light reel seat and an automatic reel.
I think most people would toss the rod it the bed of the truck. But I guess you might scratch the truck.

Well, I treasure old fly fishing tackle. If broken they can't always be repaired or replaced.

That is a work of art, like your rod cases. I love that the reel shown is an old Auto. I have a thing for those old reels.
