For those of you who build rods for the salt, what's your favorite stripping guides? I was shocked by the cost of titanium guides made by Fuji, ALPS and American Tackle. I can't view any of them in person and therefor can't see the guide height and want to make sure I get some that don't stand out too far. Plus some state that they are solid titanium and others just mention titanium but looking at the price must be titanium plated. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I've always used Hardloy casting rod guides as strippers on saltwater fly rods. Usually size 12 for 8 or 9 weight rods. Pretty cheap and very durable. I know they are durable because I have also used them on big cod jigging rods that have been in service for over 20 years with braided line and they are still fine.

REC Recoil Titanium. G. Loomis uses them on their Cross Current saltwater rods. You can check some out next time you're in the area.
