Thought I'd share this reel with you! When I was trying to acquire this reel, I was told the box was never opened and it was opened from the bottom only once to take pics that I received.. We settled on a price and when I received the reel the box still had the scotch tape securing the box closed. So I opened from bottom also. It had everything that was in box as new, still enclosed! It had the original lifetime warranty with the inspectors name on back side. The original schematic info of reel brochure..
The original 70th Anniversary catalog with the Winston Perfects for sale any size for 455 a reel and 175 per extra spool.. It truly was New in Box.. Here's a few pics of the Reel and contents of box..

Looks new all right. Very nice. You gonna fish it or will it stay a collector’s piece? Suggest you get a Winston cane rod to go with it...

Bougle, St. George, Winston Perfect - if you only get one, it's a tough call, but that reel's a beauty.

Fortunately for Mr. Rodney, he doesn't have to choose :lol

Might that be a Orvis Flea Bamboo?
Beautiful reel, and a bunch of spare spools. I bet that does hurt when you think about that reel..

Beautiful reel! I appreciate their omission of the directions for removal of the spool retaining screw found on the more recent wide spool releases. Other than that eye sore, I think the current Perfects are almost as nice as these made for Winston.
