These came from my Grandad after he passed and all of his gear was orvis except for an old Hardy 10' rod/reel combo that was more of a mooching rig. I'm guess that '70s or '80s would be the timeframe. One of the spools is a purpled vintage anodizing color while the other is jet black. Both spools have the little notch in the inside rim and would appear to be from a 3.25" dia reel. Bonus if you can identy this old spinning reel which no markings other than USA Pat Pend. Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure that's right, looks like the AR model has a handle plate that fits inside the wide lip on the spool. I don't remember seeking that whole reel, but I do remember him complaining about the early Orvis saltwater A/R reels before the DXR came out.

The spinning reel is an early Heddon Spin Pal.
