These are my favorite click/pawl reels of all time...originally they had a model 1.2.3. and 4....unfortunately they've discontinued the smaller ones and now are only offering the IR3 (for 5 line) and the IR4 (for 6/7 lines)...good news is they dropped the prices for both of those models if you buy directly from them.

That's a nice reduction, I'll be able to buy the IR3 now. I've got the 2 and 4, never had a need for the 1. My favorite clickers also.

Brian, follow the link I posted above. IR3 std arbor $280, IR 4 std arbor $290. $100 cheaper than the old price, really nice reels.

Hey folks, I work for Islander and recently stumbled across this thread. Thanks for all your interest and your kind words about our reels! I thought I'd chime in and mention that we do in fact still make the IR2 and have recently uploaded it to our site for sale although we have discontinued the IR1.

That's good news Islander Steve, I loaned my IR2 to my daughter in-law, now she's not returning my calls, looks like I'm in the market for a new one.

Welcome Steve... I've had my IR2 for (i think) 18 years !..... just bought another IR4 this week.... great stuff !

Funny how a good reel has a habit of disappearing in the hands of a family member isn't it Frogmorten??

And that's great to hear backing1... What's the serial number on it? That must be one of the first ones we ever made!
