All,

Just a compilation of links -- I was poking around and found a number of IFTD 2018 posts with photos at the demystifly website.

https://www.demystifly.com/single-post/2018/07/16/IFTD-2018-New-Fly-Rods-from-Temple-Fork-Outfitters -- covers (briefly) new TFO Finesse Glass rods and hybrid rods with Graphite and S-glass sections.

https://www.demystifly.com/single-post/2018/07/11/IFTD-2018-Scott-F-Series-Fiberglass-Fly-Rods -- the new Scott rods (covered elsewhere in this section as well).

https://www.demystifly.com/single-post/2018/07/13/IFTD-2018-Brand-New-ECHO-Fly-Rods -- a few more pics of the new ECHO rods and discussion of changes in the lineup.

https://www.demystifly.com/single-post/2018/07/16/IFTD-2018-New-Rods-and-Reels-from-Redington -- pics of the new Buttersticks.

Coming from a purely cosmetic point of view, I find the Buttersticks to be the most interesting. The grip shape on the smaller rods looks a heck of a lot like the old Scott fiberglass rods, and I like the new color pattern a heck of a lot more than the old one. I just couldn't get my head around the almost blaze-orange of the previous version.

Bigger picture, it sure does look like a bunch of fairly large manufacturers are continuing to invest significant energy into glass - so the glass revolution continues....

Yeah the Redington glass looks a lot more 'mature' than the other offerings, which a still looking very cheap.

It's good to see that they are offering something other than horrid half wells grips on the glass rods! That Buterstick grip looks particularly comfy; reminiscent of the Heddon Featherweight style.

I’m intrigued by the 8’ 6 and 8 weight buttersticks. The new Grande reel looks good, too.

Looks like the grip on my Scott Fibertouch. Nice touch indeed.
