Five or six years ago I really wanted to get an F.D. Lyons fiberglass fly rod, they were really beautiful and people really seemed to love them. I never managed to get one. I recently went to his webpage and it seems pretty stagnant. I was wondering if anyone has recently purchased a rod from him or if he is still making fiberglass fly rods. He has two really short fiberglass fly rods listed on his site but I seem to remember him making a 4 or 5 weight that was fairly popular.


I suppose I could try contacting him, but I didn't want to waste his time until I'm actually in the market to purchase a new fly rod.
