St. Croix 9100 8'9" rod. Just picked up this rod and was trying to find out how old it is and if it is a good rod, it is black with red guide wraps and has the oval Carboloy Stripping Guide, it is rated for an 8wt line. Any info would help. It flexes great and seems to be well balanced with my old 1496 1/2 reel loaded with WF8F. Thanks
