Will post a link when it's ready to ship ...

It's an eclectic mix. Some companies that are classic, others that very little is known about, and some I just felt deserved some more press. It was also cut down from 30 chapters! I got 14 chapters in this book at @ 280 pages ...

The first volume of Phillipson is done. I wanted to launch them both at the same time, but am now thinking of publishing Volume I (history) first and then following it with Volume 2 (catalogs & company materials) six months or so later. Haven't decided yet ... but the history volume is insanely cool.

I'm almost scared to read it because I just know it will trigger a few new 'must have' rods for my collection. Joking aside, I am in for a copy when available.

I had heard from Rick G that you paid him a visit to talk about Bill Phillipson for a future book. I’m really pleased that the history part may be soon available. I’ve owned many Phillipson rod and think he ranks among the very top among rod builders.

Putting a Heddon Pal on the cover sold me! I had a matched set of fly and spin rods long ago. My son got them and only God knows where they are now.

hence my name here.

Uploaded final copies of covers. Proofs are supposed to be here in about two weeks. I'm excited! When a book takes ten years when the finish line is in sight, your heart begins to race...

Will upload order information soon. There will be a limited hardcover with dust jacket for sale, for those interested.

I'm excited for the Heddon aspect of the book as well. I've recently been really into Hedon's as I've acquired some Pal Pro weights that are just a dream to cast and handle fish on.

Finding a mint Brule is a tall order. They just don't show up often on the market in general and those that do get fished to hell. I ended up with three of them, one eight footer, one "Pack and Trail Rod" and one Fuze-Graph model (a blend of boron, magnesium, and graphite -- a very interesting feel). It's a cool company that has rods that don't feel like anyone else's.

Being from Duluth, Minnesota I had to profile the midwest!

I posted pics of it here maybe last year.It was mint except the label was peeling a bit .The guy who owns the local bait/tackle store freaked when i showed it to him.Traded me a fenwick for it.He is 3rd generation in the tackle business and knew all about Brule .I will try and find the pics and could PM them to you.

Shame you didn't get a chance to fish it ... they are unique rods, that's for sure. Some of my friends like Brule fly rods a lot, other think they cast like logs. I personally like them.
