I had a pleasant surprise this afternoon,. I had bought a couple of rods and they were listed as both being Heddons. I opened the first one and it was correct. A Heddon Pal Mark 4 in mint condition. I played with it a sec and then opened the second. . To my surprise it was a Phillipson Master 6wt in mint condition. Needless to say i was tickled pink. I havent owned a master and it feels very, very good in the hand. Going to take it out this weekend on the LLano River here in Tx and see how it handles our little Guadalupe bass. I bet it will be a joy to fish.

There's one you won't be sending back for an "item not as described" refund.

What length is the Master? One of my favorite vintage rods for sure. You won't be disappointed. Anyone turned off by the metal ferrule is missing out.

I picked up a 6 1/2 foot Master not too long ago and it's been a very admirable trout rod for me. I fish it with a Peach DT5.

Oh, yeah. 7.5 to 8 feet of casting ability. Wonderful LLano rod.

Its a 7.5 Ft and it is a joy to fish, Took it to the little Creek here in my hometown and caught a few sunnies and a small bass. Very responsive and light. Definite keeper
