Ole JImmy the Hersch was down this morning and left these two nice rods behind....Thanks very much Jimmy and look forward to your next visit buddy.
The fly rod is a 1250 FDM, MADE about December 1957 and the spinning rod is a 508 XL 5'6" MADE about 1975. Can't remember for sure cause they are alread down in my shop...

Yup I'm back in the collecting mode now and will probably continue to the Dirt Dance I spose ......As long as I can find nice stuff like these two. Plan on using em both this spring . The fly rod's male ferrule was a bit corroded for some reason and had to clean it up so I could even assemble the old rod. That rod is bout 60+ years old now and has a balsa core and doesn't look like it was fished much but it does have indications it had a reel mounted on it at some point....... Nice old rod non the less....."THE RACE GOES ON"
