Wow! Finally we were able to fish at a relatively low elevation. Run-off has begun to simmer down and the lower elevation creeks are starting to become fishable. It might be spring after all. :) I mean it is the end of June ya know. :) So my better half and I headed out on a late afternoon hike to see if we could put the steel to a few hungry trout. The water was still bank full and a tinge off color but at 63 degrees the trout were more than willing to take a # 16 PMD Parachute. We had PMDs and a PMD spinner fall well into the late afternoon. None of the trout were more than a 10"er but we didn't see another soul the entire time and the wild flowers were just bursting. It must finally be spring! Enjoy!

The rod is a Blackburn 7' 2/2 4wt. hex with a Hardy Featherweight.

Bozeman? I'll be out in Montana in 60 days. Fly into Great Falls, head north to Glacier for about a week, then down to Yellowstone for another week, then to Dillon for a couple days before coming back home. I was out there last year and it snowed on me on Sept 15th at Yellowstone.

That looks like a nice little stream. Glad you and the Mrs. got out to enjoy the fishing, weather, and scenery!

Btw, it sure as heck ain't spring here. 95.9 degrees, heat index 109, calling for a 'low' of 77 tonight. T-storms are on the radar.

Nice Mark!

What makes you decide to take a fiberglass or bamboo rod out fishing? :)

It really depends on where I'm going to fish and more importantly what mood I'm in. :)
