Got away for a few days during the easter holiday to chase some searun brown trout with two of my fishing buddies. The first day the weather was really nice, and we had a great day out on the water.
Great conditions for trout looking for shrimp and baitfish in the shallows
This shallow bay gave up a nice trout around 16" to one of my fishing partners
It was mostly the smaller trout that were active, occasionally rising and often chasing our flies without us being able to fool them into a take.
It is always important to make time to make a nice fire and brew some proper Coffee
On the literarilly final cast I got into a nice fish, I guess just short of 20"
The next day the weather turned bad, with snow and rain and strong north winds putting the fish down. We spent most of the day playing dice and drinking wine in the cabin. Time well spent!
Happy spring and tight lines to all!
