I used to carry a head net like beekeepers use in my vest for those occasions. Doesn't protect your arms, tho.

Agreed! I'm digging this weather and the fish are too. Still some nice sulfur hatches going on up here!

What beautiful, exquisite little markings on that fish!!!

It sounds like you keep a fishing log. That would seem to be a most interesting thing to do.

I actually do not. My camera is my "log".

Thank you and Driftless both for the very kind words. It's truly appreciated.

Gratuitious gear shot here. Been using my Vedavoo pack I won at the Coulee Conclave more and more. Great little pack for grabbing and going out for a quick hour.

Hey, you should get something olive in that streamer box. Just kidding! My favorite trout streamer color as well.

From my vantage point, what I find interesting is that that fly box holds pretty big patterns. Whether that is for visibility purposes, or under the premise maybe that bigger flies catch bigger fish, I don't know. In any event, I'm not seeing many size 18 or 20 size flies in that box. Also a lot of bead-type heads, I presume to get down.

@driftless... the reason there's a lot of olive is because its not working lol! Lack of black and gold should tell you something. ;)

@del... yes, this is my streamer box. It's been the popular box this season. Then there's the 2 nymph boxes, 2 dry fly boxes, terrestrial box and soft hackle box that I'll jam all in my sling pack when I'm feeling indecisive.

Pecos, those uv colors are markers used for monitoring.

Evenings have been a great time to get out. Doesn't demand the early morning alarm and there's plenty of aggressive trout feeding on a variety of dries and streamers at dusk.

Yep. Reminds us that the rivers and streams are the fishes home, and that after we leave to go back to our humble abodes, they stay behind, living in the river we sometimes come to visit.

We got a lot of rain yesterday. Lot of dirty dirty water out there but you can still find fishable water too.
