For a few years a group of us had Northeast Glass Get Togethers in NY, CT, VT. and MA. They were always a lot of fun and great opportunity to cast many many new and vintage glass rods, and wet a line with forum members cut from the same cloth (pun intended). We met on the Battenkill, Housatonic, Beaverkill, Deerfield rivers among others. I miss these get togethers, and would surely attend another.

I would be interested in attending. Being totally new to glass it would be a great introduction for me.

Sounds like one of you guys needs to take the lead on setting up dates and locations.

With wife's relatives in NY, RI, PA I'm cautiously interested, dates and exact location could affect my interest.
" the trick is getting someone willing to organize it." It needs water and reasonably available camping, lodging and eating facilities, but most important a coordinator/facilitator .

The most central area would be the Farmington River from about Riverton to New Hartford. There is People's Forest for camping and private camp sites in Winsted, restaurants are plentiful and the forest is always good for BBQ. We have a couple of local shops for supplies is needed.
I can't say anything about the Farmington, I usually fish the tiny streams and Naugatuck river feeders around my house because I can walk to most of them.

Mid to end of August sound good to anyone?
