I am a longtime listener, first time caller as the saying goes. I live in Eastern Kentucky, although not originally from here, and have been a fly fisherman for most of my life. My son, who is a member currently living on the "left" coast, turned me on to this site and been hooked, albeit silent, for a long time. I am truly astounded by the wealth of information this forum holds and the generosity of the members who share their time, experience, and knowledge. My only complaint with this site is the realization that there is so much good stuff to buy out there (like Martin reels) that I really didn't know about for the longest time.

Welcome. Now you can start making up for lost time with acquisition after acquisition.

We like to call it the "correct" coast.

But it's about time.

Welcome cjtarbox! Yes, this is a great place to learn about things you hadn't known to exist, but now must have.

Yeh, yeh. Just remember slow and steady wins the race. I suppose you are right about the "correct" coast especially since it's not completely lined with condos. Yet.

Understand the slippery slope, just trading one for another. Have more hand planes than I can use and really would rather fish. And NO regrets on joining this forum.
