I requested the time off work, we'll see if it materializes. If not, the week prior is a go, so I'll be there on the tail end of my week excursion out there.

Sometimes I hate being a workaholic, our lives are so unpredictable.

I think you'll find that as the time gets near there will be a number of people coming in both early and staying late. Plus Dusty and I will be around whenever anyone shows up to fish with, share fishing spots, and hang out with.

I'm not making any reservations anywhere. I look forward to a free flowing week of trout fishing. Whether it meams sleeping in a tent or in an ally after passing out from one too many. I kid, maybe...

Winging it is always fun. Just like my New Zealand trip or my old PA trips. Looking forward to this event.

Hi everyone,

Had another conversation with Jamie at the Yellowstone Angler today about writing an article on the Clave. He's very interested in this and wants to meet the builders and anglers who fish fiberglass. My idea, as stated before, was to not do a shootout but talk to everyone about the resurgence of glass. He was originally going to ask rod companies for test rods but I think highlighting the artisan builders who are driving the revolution rather than the big boys who are jumping on the bandwagon seems to be the way to go. There have been a number of articles on glass but they always highlight companies like Redington, T&T, Scott, and other advertisers. Scratching each other's back so to speak. Further details as they appear. Good idea? Anyone not comfortable with this please let me know.

Think it’s a good idea. Jaime’s a great guy and should be able to run with this.

For those of you planning on attending please PM me to register. Chris and I would like to make a list of who's attending as well as shirt sizes.

Thanks!

Might be meeting you all briefly as Friday night the 17th is the last day of a 10 day visit. Spent the past few months driving back and forth from Vermont to central New York dissembling multiple generations of a family’s life and selling our family’s home of 52 years. It will be medicinal to spend some time on the water before school starts on the 20th.

I would love to my friend. Not 100 percent certain, but this year might be my last in public education. If so, my world opens up.

I have an as new "Outcast Commander" the was used by my better half for less than 1 hour in a fresh water lake. She has had several ear surgeries and was not comfortable in the water. Very afraid of getting water in her ears.
If anyone is interested at $600, I will bring it to the Clave.
Pump, patch kit, Scotty fly rod holder, and carry bag included.
Cost is over $$1000 now for everything.

Hello All,

Thanks for all the support so far, looks like we are going to have a fun and well attended Clave. I would bring a jacket or sweatshirt for the events at night, once the sun drops it can get cool here. If you have any questions please PM me and if you would like your contact info on a list (of fellow attendees to meet up for fishing, etc..) that I can distribute PM me that as well.

The schedule of events are:

Friday 8/17:
5PM to Whenever Sacajawea Park *********, MT

The location is at Sacajawea Park in ********* and I will most likely set up close to the river off of River Dr. Here's directions: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sacagawea+Park/@45.6534521,-110.5608345,16z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x53457b830cb614cd:0x3a1a970a26edcc0a!8m2!3d45.6536884!4d-110.559826

There will be burgers, hot dogs, brats, drinks, etc.... I will be grilling
General Activities will be hanging out casting rods. Bring whatever rods you want to show off and cast. Bring any rods you would like to sell or trade. There will be multiple commercial vendors attending so lots of new rods to cast!!

Saturday 8/18
5PM to Whenever Sacajawea Park *********, MT

I am having this night catered, most likely by a local BBQ place.
Raffle: $5 for 1 ticket or $20 for 5 tickets There will be rods from ********* Rod, C. Barclay, Hallowell/McFarland, and other prizes.
This night will be mostly hanging out and casting rods as well. Any buying/selling/trading is also welcome.

Sunday 8/19
Travel day/Fishing

PM me with any questions.

Thanks!

Dusty
