Moderators, I hope this is OK to post here.
A group from the UltralightFlyFishing forum is meeting in Georgetown, TX this coming weekend (Sep. 22-24, 2017). Anybody that would like to come and hang out with us is very welcome. We are also having a silent auction to raise money for a couple of veterans groups: Veteran-Outdoors.com and HeroesOnTheWater.org. The items being auctioned are as follows: 1) Chris Barclay supplied us with a new 7' 2" 3 weight rod from his Progressive series; 2) Matt Draft is putting up a 3 weight rod building kit with all components; 3) Bozeman fly line set - in line weights 1,2,and 3; 4) Rajeff Sports is putting up a 2 weight rod; and 5) Aaron, the meetup organizer is putting up a Cabela's CGR 2 weight with Pflueger Progress reel and line.
If you wish to attend, we will be meeting at Cedar Breaks Park at Georgetown Lake on Sep. 22. (Camp sites 15,16 and 17) If you would like to bid for one or more of the items on the auction, you can place your bid at
www.32auctions.com/flyfishingveterans. The auction is live at this time. You do not have to be present to win. Should be some pretty good fishing available on the North or South forks of the San Gabriel or on the main San Gabriel. Also Brushy Creek, Berry Creek, or Onion Creek.
For more information see post in Forum Announcements on UltralightFlyFishing.com. Hope to see some of you there.
