hiya folks! just got my registration accepted so thought a quick intro was in order..

i'm Dave Felce, i live in the highlands of Scotland and i'm a bit of a newbie to glass rods. i have to say at the outset i'm not into glass as a "thing"; i'm into practicalities. my no. #1 passion is fishing for carp. big carp. but modern fast rods aren't the best for presentation & cushioning the brutal take and first run of carp. so, i'm now the proud owner of a custom Epic 888. i have a lot to learn!

thanks for having me on board :)

all the best
Dave

Welcome Dave. Looking forward to seeing some photos of some large carp and the places where you caught them.

hi folks,

thanks for the welcome!

yep. carp; bit of an obsession now. can't comment on glass vs. carbon as i've only just got the Epic to play with. but i'll certainly post a few photos & happily share info & advice with anyone who's interested :hat

ps i should add this is NOT from the highlands of scotland! it's actually easier for me to fly to spain than to drive south in the uk. and the fishing's somewhat better.... (not to mention the weather)
