After lurking on here as a "guest" for too long, I think it's time to introduce myself and say hello.

With so much accessible water around Seattle, it can be hard to choose what to fish on any given day - small creeks in the Cascade foothills? Beach fishing for sea-run cutthroats? Or salmon/steel in any number of rivers around here? Most of the time beach fishing for sea-runs wins the debate and I find myself wandering over secluded oyster beds in the fog, watching for rises in the salt. These are gorgeous, feisty fish that put quite a bend in my old 6 wt Scott.

It seems like a great community on here - hope to see some of you out on the water some time! (Just not at any of my "secret" beaches) ;)

Welcome, MountainTrout! Your favorite fishing sounds like fun; the beach isn't the first place I think of when I think of trout, and it's great that you have such spots to fish. This is indeed a great forum. Looking forward to seeing some of those sea-run trout!
