I'm hoping to have a gathering at the covered bridge pavilion ,crossing the Willowemoc in ********* Manor NY on either 6/10 or 6/17. As soon as I hear back from the parks dept and set a date I'll post it. Anyone who was at the Northeast clave last year is familiar with the location and the surrounding area and waters. Come and see some of the most amazing glass rods out there and fish legendary waters, The Beaverkill , Willowemoc , Neversink . Plus the Catskill Fly Fishing Center is right up the road. Anyone needing more info can email or p/m me. Thanks and I hope to see you there.

Mike, this is terrific news! I will be there and I am available to help. Mid-June is a great time to be fishing in the Catskills -- ANYTIME is a great time to fish the Catskills.

Once the date is set we can start a running list of attendees in this thread to get a headcount and from there flesh out the clave agenda/events/etc.

Keep us posted on your progess!

Think that's a great location Mike, I will unfortunately be leaving the Catskills June 7 or 8th to start my trip back to MT. I plan on spending a day or 2 in the weeks before hanging and casting rods at Dettes though. Will let everyone know the dates when I figure it out with Joe.

thanks mike. its on my calendar. as of right now my plan is to arrive early saturday morning, spend sat and sunday nights at russell brook.

fyi, russell brook campsites has a few cabins that sleep 2 or 3, and they have tent sites too (you want the Evergreen section campsite) if you want a cabin reserve now, as they fill fast.

Hello
Make it 12 dozen and I'll consider showing up :lol
Pat please remove me from your list,I'll let you know when I decide if I'm coming.
Please don't put pressure on me to come either.
I have another local event that weekend so I'll have to choose.

Pat,

Thanks for the heads up regarding Russell Brook. I also was able to reserve a cabin for Saturday night. I plan on getting into the area late Friday night, and will likely fish in the AM on Saturday, spend the day at the pavilion on Saturday and overnight at RB and fish Sunday.

Ok the final date is Saturday June 17th. Again I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes, I'll be there at 10am to get things started. If anyone needs to reach me, PM me for to arrange communication on short notice. We can exchange any personal contact information in that way. Thanks Mike C

Chase -- on my way out the door as I write this -- the June 17 date unfortunately is not good for me. At best I could get there in late afternoon. I'm thinking that will be too late for the clave itself....?

Oops, slight change of plan for me regarding the 17th, I can probably still swing the Saturday (17th), but won't be able to make it Sunday.

Doubt I could make it as much as I would love to revisit old haunts in the Catskills same as with Glassmaster and others in Connecticut and Vermont in recent 'claves.

Just a reminder--having just edited a personal detail from a post above--it's easy with this fine group, especially hanging around with them in person, to become too trusting for hanging around with about anyone on the internet, even this forum. Please don't post personal contact details in the open forum; you just don't know who might be watching your "campsite" to see you go off fishing so they can swipe that new-fangled portable transistor radio you left on the picnic table.

Arrange alternate communication via private message, please.

If you catch the guy with your transistor radio, see if he has my Dad's Nikon F. Not sure if that skunk was lurking near a campsite in Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, the Adirondacks, or the Catskills. We even have them up here. They are just harder to smell in the digital world.
