Hope you can make it!!

I'm getting close to having the sign up finished but wanted to put this out there. Our very own Designer Genius JoeFriday just sent this over.

The t shirts will have a similar design and you'll see a fancy banner proudly flying when you drive into the campground in several weeks.

Get excited people!!

I had a scheduling conflict that no longer applies so I am officially in. To help with the event I will be donating a rod to the raffle. Can't wait to see everyone!

I'm in as well! Chris Barclay knows how to organize an event! Last year was great and this sounds even better.
Looking forward to meeting everyone,

I'm going to donate a brand pair of neoprene chaps for wet wading just in from Japan for the raffle!

Rumor has it that this is what Chris is modeling the 2nd Annual Coulee Conclave after...

There might even be a little fishing involved.

It's only three weeks until the Coulee Conclave! I feel like a kid the day after Thanksgiving waiting for the big holiday.

You'll all be glad to know that we're saving the good weather in WI for then (it was sleeting here earlier today).

So who all is coming and what rods are you bringing?

I'll have a very small group:

Epic 580
McFarland 884
Barclay 70p (with a matching Barclay/Kineya reel)

Not as many rods as last year......they will however all be special...Ijuin, Horgren, Leiderman and of course Barclay built.

Yup, only 3 weeks away! Last year at this time we were hanging out, eating pizza and giving away raffle items.

I wanted to share Brett's design for the shirt - he's done an absolutely fantastic job on this year's shirt:

Image

Take a look at those sponsors too!
I'm raffling off one of my own rods - a 7' 4wt progressive rod that I'll be debuting at the gathering.
Dusty is offering one of his ********* Rod Co rods.
Mike McFarland is offering one of his new blanks for the raffle.
Pearl Street Brewery in LaCrosse is supplying some raffle items as well as tasty beers for our dinner.
Dinner (pizza and salad) is supplied by the Driftless Cafe.
Brandon Bailes of Panther Branch Bugs has sent me some killer flies to give away
Vedavoo has given a bag.
Recycled Waders has given a bag.
Tom from 406 Fly Lines has given some lines and hats and may even be there in person!!
The Driftless Angler is supplying goodies.
And more!!

Plus the fishing is guaranteed to be 111% incredible.

I will be doing the raffle a little differently this year. We'll have specific pots for the big prizes and other pots for smaller items. So you can spread your tickets around to increase your chances for a desired item.

I have heard that the Hickory Hill Motel and most other lodging is already booked due to the Norwegian independence celebration. I still have some campsite space available - let me know if interested.

I'm ordering shirts tomorrow and registration continues to the week of the event. But please register sooner rather than later so I can make sure to have everything we need.

Also, depending on how the fishing is we might push back the timeframe for the Friday hangout and Saturday meal.

Oh yeah, rods... I'll have a few with me.
I will have my new 4 piece 75p's, 64p and 70p as well as my old standard 723 and 7105.
I hope to have some new prototypes to test out as well.

I'll have a bamboo rod I'm working on as well as an Alchemy Dharma.
I'm trying to get Tomo to send me a rod or two to play with as well.

I'm trying to get to building a large rod rack but if anyone has one they can bring that'd be helpful.
Might need an extra cooler too.

I'll be bringing a 40qt 12v cooler. If I have room I could bring another non-electric. I probably have more coolers than rods.

A quick reminder for everyone to bring a camp chair.

McFarland Graywolf 8044 Yellow
McFarland Leo de Monbreun Spruce Creek 8' 3 pc. 5 wt
Fenwick FF79 D-serial number
Bamboo:
Weiler copy Garrison 209-FB (Fast Butt) 7'6" DT5
Pickard copy Dickerson 8013 5 wt.
Graphite:
Orvis Western 8'3" 3 wt.
Orvis Superfine FullFlex 7'11" 4wt.

I ordered some of the new Hardy Marquis LT's to bring, plus some of the new pflueger medalists, plus a new reel I had made for Livingstonrod. Like the list jhusky is bringing, looking forward to casting some of the ones I haven't cast. Bushog always has some cool ones too.
